Mike's Homepage
Welcome to my home page.  Let me tell you a little something about my site.  I have various other pages from which you can see things that I like, the links are on the side, I hope you enjoy them.  Most of the pages are updated frequently.
Now...a little about me:  My birthplace is Stockton, California, on May 28th, 1976.  I grew up there for 12 years until I moved to Bay Area in 1988.  In 1990, my family and I moved back to the valley, this time to the Sacramento area, (Rocklin) where I attended Roseville High School and graduated in 1994. Now I live with my wife and my beautiful baby girl in Elk Grove.
I am the youngest of two children in our family.  My older sister lives in Roseville.  I like all kinds of music; everything from classical to hard rock.  I am currently a DJ at
KSSU 1580 AM out of California State University Sacramento, primarily playing theatrical scores and movie soundtracks. Visit the official site for my radio show! I play trombone, baritone. I am a major science-fiction fan and I have written several sci-fi stories, which can be downloaded from one of my links.  I hope to get many more out and published one day.
Feel free to write me or send me some e-mail, I'm always interested in meeting new people and/or getting ideas for new stories.  I enjoy computer games, writing, movies, music, archeaology, science-fiction, and several other things.  If you'd like to get to know me better or if you ever want more information, feel free to drop me a line!

darkhorizons.com has news information from various sources about what's happening in the film and television industry.  A great source for the latest information.

scifi.com is the web site devoted to the Sci-Fi Channel, currently the home of Stargate SG-1 and Farscape, the best two sci-fi shows on television.  Site contains downloads, information, contests, games, and all sorts of various information.

lightspeedfineart.com is the official fan club site of Stargate SG-1, but it is the home page for Light Speed Fine Art, a organization that makes wonderful prints from sci-fi/fantasy shows that are available for sale. Check out these great prints.

ebay.com is of course the premiere site for online buying and selling.  I've been buying and selling for over four years now and I've made a lot of money off of it, not to mention some of the great deals that I've received as well.

I Need Your Help
My father has contracted a disease that is threatening to claim his life.  If anyone can help, it would be greatly appreciated.
Amyloidosis is a group of diseases in which one or more organ systems in the body accumulate deposits of abnormal proteins. The name "amyloidosis" was first used more than 100 years ago but cases were described over 300 years ago. However, only within the past 20 years have physicians understood the specific make-up and structure of amyloid protein. Although amyloidosis is not cancer, it is very serious. It may be disabling or life threatening. However, growing awareness of the condition seems to be leading to substantial new research and treatment alternatives.
General James Longstreet
of the Confederacy
This photo is of the great General James Longstreet.  General Longstreet was the right hand man to General Robert E. Lee of the Confederate Army during the US Civil War, and accompanied him at the surrender at the Appomatox Courthouse.  General Longstreet was played by Tom Berenger in the film "Gettysburg," and alos by Stephen Lang in "Gods and Generals."  I am a direct decendant of General Longstreet and I am proud to know that he stood for what he believed, even if it was from the Confederate army, which at the time was seen to be in the wrong.  Had General Lee actually listened to Longstreet, the South might have won the battle of Gettsburg and not walked into a massive slaugter that was the pinnalce of the bloodiest war in American history.  There is no way to be sure of course, but his tactics were more sound than that of his superiors.
Roseville High Marching Band Alumni Page
For those of you who are friends of mine, and are alumni of the Roseville High School Marching Band.  This page has some cool things to see.  If if you're not a former member of RHS or a band member and are just curious to see where I went to high school and hear about the people that I spent four years of my life with, then surf on in!

WORDS TO LIVE BY
I like big cars, big boats, big motorcycles, big houses and big campfires. I believe the money I make belongs to me and my family, not some governmental stooge with a bad comb-over who wants to give it away to crack addicts for squirting out babies.

Guns do not make you a killer. I think killing makes you a killer. You can kill someone with a baseball bat or a car, but no one is trying to ban you from driving to the ball game.

I believe they are called the Boy Scouts for a reason, which is why there are no girls allowed. Girls belong in the Girl Scouts!

I think that if you feel homosexuality is wrong, it is not a phobia, it is an opinion.

I don't think being a minority makes you a victim of anything except numbers. The only things I can think of that are truly discriminatory are things like the United Negro College Fund, Jet Magazine, Black Entertainment Television, and Miss Black America. Try to have things like the United Caucasian College Fund, Cloud Magazine, White Entertainment Television, or Miss White America and see what happens. Jesse Jackson will be knocking down your door.

I have the right "NOT" to be tolerant of others because they are different, weird, or tick me off. When 70% of the people who get arrested are black, in cities where 70% of the population is black, that is not racial profiling, it is the law of statistics.

I know what sex is, and there are not varying degrees of it.  If I received sex from one of my subordinates in my office, it wouldn't be a private matter or my personal business. I would be "FIRED" immediately!

I believe that if you are selling me a milk shake, a pack of cigarettes, a newspaper or a hotel room, you must do it in English! As a matter of fact, if you want to be an American citizen you should have to speak English!

My father and grandfather shouldn't have to die in vain so you can leave the countries you were born in to come over and disrespect ours.

I think the police should have every right to shoot your sorry ass if you threaten them after they tell you to stop. If you can't understand the word "freeze" or "stop" in English, see the above lines.

I feel much safer letting a machine with no political affiliation recount votes when needed.

I know what the definition of lying is.

I don't think just because you were not born in this country, you are qualified for any special loan programs, government sponsored bank loans or tax breaks, etc., so you can open a hotel, coffee shop, trinket store, or any other business.

We did not go to the aid of certain foreign countries and risk our lives in wars to defend their freedoms so that decades later they could come over here and tell us our constitution is a living document and open to their interpretations.

I don't hate the rich. I don't pity the poor.

I know wrestling is fake, but so are movies and television, and that doesn't stop you from watching them.

I believe a self-righteous liberal or conservative with a cause is more dangerous than a Hell's Angel with an attitude.

I think Bill Gates has every right to keep every penny he made and continue to make more. If it ticks you off, go and invent the next operating system that's better and put your name on the building. Ask your buddy that invented the Internet to help you.

It doesn't take a whole village to raise a child right, but it does take a parent to stand up to the kid and smack their little ass when necessary and say "NO." for Christ sakes, these young people will be running our country some day.

I think tattoos and piercing are fine if you want them, but please don't pretend they are a political statement. And please stay home until that new lip ring heals, I don't want to look at your ugly infected mouth as you serve me French fries!

I am sick of "Political Correctness" and of all the suck ups that go along with it. I know a lot of black people, and not a single one of them was born in Africa, so how can they be "African-Americans"?  Besides, Africa is a continent. I don't go around saying I am a European-American because my great, great, great, great, great, great grandfather was from Europe. I am proud to be from America and nowhere else. And if you don't like my point of view, tough shit!
